MK-APS – AUTOMATIC PRODUCT HANDLING SYSTEM
The MK-APS – Automatic Product Handling System, with the labor-saving speed and convenience of automatic packaging, adds the efficiency of automated product handling and loading systems. Custom engineered to your product, the MK-APS can use several different infeed systems to help solve your automation problems. The efficient design of the MK-APS is complete with all safety features and no carton-no load interlocks. The MK-APS uses a ControlLogix PLC system to control the machine.
Some interesting projects the MK-APS handled was denesting tubs, placing them on a lug conveyor, and then end loading rolls of wet wipes into the tub. The system has also been able to handle difficult to erect cartons such as hexagonal, hanger tab, and fifth-panel style cartons. The MK-APS is a modular system that can add equipment such as printers, labelers, and more to its robust frame.
Provides easy setup and changeover. AFA's engineers can custom design an innovative infeed system. MicroLogix or CompactLogix PLC are available on the MK-APS.
